Lets Feast.

Yesterday started by going to the MAC store in the city so Danielle can fill out new employee paperwork.
We had to make a pit stop at the drug store to fix me up with some allergy meds.. and then our plan was to head to Chinatown to this place we have been wanting to go to for a while now...

However... thats not what happened.

On our way to Chinatown- we stumbled upon Little Italy.
Yesterday happened to be the first day of the 85th Annual Feast of San Gennaro!

Whats the Feast of San Gennaro? Well its only the longest running outdoor festival in New York City! The Feast of San Gennaro is an 11-day festival that reflects Italian-American culture and heritage through a variety of delicious food and musical entertainment.

Needless to say- Danielle and I decided to hold off on our Chinatown plans to participate in this annual event.

We got Italian Sausages with onions and peppers! Instead of a hot dog bun- it came on half a baguette loaf..

It was huge. And Delicious. As you can tell..

We continued to walk around and check things out, when Danielle saw a sign for Fried Oreo's.. and she could not let us leave there without giving them a try.

The only set back was that we only wanted one to split, but the minimum to buy was seven for $5 =/
No worries though. We did a little sweet talking, and the guy let us try one for free!

The feasting did not stop there! Neither did the free food!
After stopping to visit a friend for a little while, we headed over to Williamsburg to go to this bar we tried to go to the night before- but I had forgotten my ID.

This might be my favorite bar so far. Its called the Alligator Lounge. With every drink you order- you get a free personal pizza... We got 4 drinks total, meaning 4 pizzas, and it only cost us about $3 a beer.

We could only eat two though..

After that I went home and Danielle stayed out to visit with a friend we actually met with after our pizzas..

I got to come home to an early birthday surprise package from one of my very best friends Stef. So a very special thanks goes out to her- you are amazing Stef. Thanks girl! :]
