She asks me to do her a favor and check outside to see if her package has been delivered.
After about 5 minutes of conversating with her about package deliveries.. I finally opened the door.
To find my very own boyfriend. Standing on my stoop.
Hands in pockets.
With a smile on his face.
Little did I know, Evan had been planning to surprise me in New York with Danielles help for the past couple months.. Not only did he plan to come all the way out here to surprise me for my birthday, but he also planned out a whole itinerary for the weekend for us :]
At this point I am feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.
BirthDayWeekend
Day One
After little sleep and no food, Evan took a little nap and I made him some breakfast . My first over-easy egg! And the smoke alarm only went off once this time!
Making only one successful egg obviously wasn't enough.. so we stopped and got a hot dog in the city..
Next stop- The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
We had about a couple hours to explore as much as we could before leaving for our next destination.
The MoMA has 8 floors, with which we discovered about 5 of them.
Here are some of my favorite works of art..
We went through this crazy huge awesome white-sheeted maze thing..
One of my favorite photographs- a guy working on the Empire State Building
A couple more of my favorite photographs-people in love :]
Blog Fan Challenge- Can you decode this Lunar Sentence using the Lunar Alphabet below??
Homeless City Guide.. hahaha awesome.
Big Red Mouth-Opener Toy Thing.. I need to get one of these. Imagine the possibilities..
Crazy morphed silverware..
This reminds me of Mary Poppins! (Ashley if you are reading this- I hope you enjoy it! haha)
Starry Night. No Big Deal... :]
Salvador Dali. The Persistence of Memory. and. Illuminated Pleasures.
But my most favvvvoorriitte work of art.. has to be..
Evan and a Haystack.
hahahahaha :] yess.
my favorite by far.
Next Destination- Williamsburg to meet up with some of Evans friends.
We got there a little early, and so we decided to go to the Brooklyn Brewery for happy hour..
We had a couple beers together :]
And then on our way out- Evan found Bar Kitty!
We then went to The Trophy Bar- where I got to hang out with a bunch of Evans friends that live out here- a couple of them I had met previously at 4th of July.. and they are amazing. So I had an amazing time. :]
Oh and Danielle and Matt came and met up with us there too!
We drank, we ate, we chatted... I learned how to box (Jab Jab Hook Duck Hook)
... it was an all around good time. the best time.
On our way home on the subway- the clock struck midnight, and Evan sang Happy Birthday to me..
I couldn't of been happier at this moment :]
And then he fell asleep. hahahaha
I want to do a little shout out to say thank you to all the people that sent me birthday mail- Grandma Lewis, Grandma O'brien, Aunth Kathy, Mom and Dad, Loni, and Brittany. You all are so amazing and made my birthday that much more special being all the way out here..
And of course- I want to say thank you to Evan for giving me the absolute best birthday present I have ever been given of all time. Your presence. <3
(Oh and Danielle- you are the worlds best secret keeper, thanks for keeping this huge surprise from me for the past two months.. I know it wasn't easy for you! haha )
