BDW- Day Three

Exploring The City.

We first headed into the city near Times Square and got some Starbucks.

Then we went to the M&M's store! Because plain M&M's are my favorite.

This machine was awesome- you stand in it and it figures out your M&M Mood Color- mine was light blue.

Evan bought us both shot glasses from there. And I got some M&M earrings in Christmas colors!

Lunch Time. Evans cousin, Teagen, told us about this really good burger place that we had to seek out while here in New York City. Besides being suuuppperrr delicious, its neat because its hidden in some 5-star hotel. You have to go inside and look down a hallway to see a neon burger sign with an arrow pointing to the place..

Welcome to the Burger Joint. Where if you don't know what you want- they send you to the back of the line.. and the line is LONG.

This place will definitely be re-visited multiple times.

After a really fantastic lunch- we went straight to one of the most famous toy stores in the world...
FAO Schwarz here we come..

We saw oversized candy.

We saw miniature food!

And more miniature food!

And miniature lamps!

And miniature chairs and sofas!!!

Even miniature buckets of beer!! hahaha

As I am sure you can already tell- we found one of my favorite parts of the store pretty much immediately. Poor Evan had to wait like 20 minutes as I took a picture of every single miniature thing in this section haha

We then found this fun toy and played until we lost the ball..

We got to see these two ladies do a little piano recital for us on the BIG piano. It was so fun!

LEGOs

Rocks!

Stuffed Animals!

Second favorite section by far- the Barbie section. again.. poor Evan hahaha

On our way out we couldn't help but play with this huge guy.. he was reeealllyy heavy.

The next place Evan took me to was this park called High Line. Its this 1-mile park that was originally an elevated freight railroad. This may have been my favorite part of the day. Because it was soooo beautiful.

Once we got to the south end of the park, we kept hearing all this music coming from somewhere..
So instead of heading to our next destination, we decided to check out where the music was coming from.

As it turns out- We stumbled upon a beer garden that our friend Justin actually recommended to Evan.
Its called The Standard Hotel Biergarten.

We got a couple beers

We listened to great music

And I won a free pretzel by doing a hand-stand!

After a crazy fun and eventful day- and a tough night.. Evan carried me back home.

BDW- Day Two

September 17th, 2011
I woke up to a big bag full of birthday presents from Evan!!!
Always a good way to start the day.    :]

Our first destination was the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

So here is a mini-version of the Beautylicious post.
Beautylicious Part 2

We then went up to the Look Out to take some fun pictures together...

We played around and explored the garden a little more before heading out..

We then went home, got ready for my birthday date, enjoyed a couple glasses of wine, and went on our way..

Evan took me to this reeealllly great restaurant called Freemans. It was kinda hidden away- we had to go down this alley to find it. I jacked this picture from the website because my picture was too dark-

While waiting for our table- I enjoyed a glass of red wine, and Evan got a cocktail named the Montauk Fog.

I tried artichoke dip for the first time. It was amazing.. (also not my picture, but it looked exactly the same!)

I don't have a picture of it- but Evan and I got the same thing- Seared Filet Mignon. It was incredible. Everything about the food and this place was perfect.. I want to do a little shout out to Evans parents- Janell and Chuck. THANK YOU so much for having Evan take me out to a nice birthday dinner. It was wonderful and we had a really really nice time. :]

After dinner we met up with Danielle, Matt, Alex and her friend.
We went to some dive bar- I'm not sure of the name. That's not the important part though-
The important part is that Alex brought cupcakes!!!

So I fed Evan..

And Danielle..

Then Matt fed Danielle..

 And I fed myself... hahahaha

I think its safe to say it was the best birthday I have ever had.
I am definitely one lucky girl.. thats for sure.
