Brewery and Luau

Kauai Adventures: Day 6

Before we started our day, we woke up to a beautiful rainbow. The picture really doesn't do it justice though... We also saw a couple taking their wedding photos, and love how the surfer is so casually walking by.

Evan and I did a little venturing on our own and went to the Kauai Island Brewery.

We got a flight of tasters, their IPA was the best (to me anyway)  :)

Evan got a shirt, it says "Worlds westernmost brewery, the last beer before tomorrow" hehe

We then got dressed up and went to a luau! It was so much fun, we all really enjoyed our time. The food was amazing and the bar was open. Definitely would recommend this particular luau, called Kalamaku. Oh and we got real leis!

I'm pretty sure we didn't eat this pig because the buffet was open almost immediately after they took the pig out of the ground... In any case, it was fun to watch how the pigs cooked.

Fire dancers!!!

The guys wanted to take a picture with these lovely ladies...

So Janell and I made it even by taking a picture with this stud... hehehe

This luau definitely wasn't what you would think it would be if you had never gone to a luau before (you know, on the sand, pig on a stick over a fire with an apple in its mouth, Hawaiians dancing around the fire) but it was awesome. I can't wait to go again sometime.
